KSHB: Blue Springs couple encourages organ donation after heart transplant

After suffering a massive heart attack, one local man's wife saved his life by giving bystander CPR with the help of a 911 operator—not just once, but twice.

Jeff Blobaum is one of 23 people who have undergone heart transplants at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute so far in 2020. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the first heart transplant performed at Saint Luke's.

KSHB talked to the Blue Springs couple and Dr. Andrew Kao, medical director of heart transplantation at Saint Luke's, about the incredible story.
