KSHB: 'Stop the bleed' increases shooting victim survival rate

Frontline workers at emergency rooms throughout Kansas City make it their mission to keep shooting victims from becoming another statistic.

KSHB spoke to a trauma surgeon at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City about the trauma team that mobilizes once an ambulance arrives, what has changed over the years in treating trauma victims, and why 'Stop the Bleed' is so important.
