FOX4: Overland Park Stroke Survivor Works to Help Others with Depression and Anxiety After Stroke
After suffering a stroke at the age of 46, one local woman is working to help others struggling with depression and anxiety after having a stroke.
Angie Read went to Saint Luke's Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute, where doctors reversed her stroke in 2017. While she expected the physical recovery ahead, she did not anticipate the huge impact it would have on her mental health.
FOX4 talked to Angie and Dr. Kadie Harry, a licensed psychologist at Saint Luke's, about the common yet lesser-known impact of a stroke.
