FOX4: Experts warn of frostbite dangers during dangerously cold temperatures

Extreme cold temperatures and winds are moving into the Kansas City area this week.

The below-freezing wind chills can be a major health concern if you are outside for too long. Dr. Aaron Kaus, Emergency Department physician at Saint Luke's Hospital, says if you do have to go out, make sure you are paying attention to what your body is telling you.

"If you start shivering-- you start having cold hands, feet, face, ears, nose-- make sure you get inside," Kaus said.
