FOX4: Doctors recommend checking your blood pressure at home
Does your blood pressure rise when you go to the doctor? Millions of American suffer from high blood pressure legitimately, but studies show that some may suffer from White Coat Hypertension, or blood pressure readings that are higher when you visit the doctor's office. Saint Luke's Dr. Todd Fristo, a family physician at Saint Luke's Primary Care-Independence, joins other physicians in recommending that patients find their accurate blood pressure readings at home.
FOX 4's Meryl Lin McKean spoke with Dr. Fristo and a local patient who takes his blood pressure regularly at home.
