KSHB: Meet the KC Pets Who Help Hospice Patients Cope with Life and Death

Saint Luke's Hospice House has a unique round-the-clock care for patients and their families. Thanks to Dogs on Call (DOC), trained pets come in when they’re needed most at any time of the day or night to visit patients, families, and even staff, providing love, comfort, and companionship in a unique way.

"We know that they're going through a really tough time and so if we can bring any sense of peace, that is our goal," said Melissa Tinklepaugh with Saint Luke's Hospice House.

Dogs on Call isn't limited to dogs. Therapy pets bring love, comfort and laughs to Saint Luke's Hospice House.
