Thousands of blood drives have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, creating a need for blood donations in the Kansas City area.

KSHB talked to Dr. Gagan Mathur, medical director of transfusion services at Saint Luke's Health System, about the current supply and what would happen if there is ever a critical shortage.
