KMBC: Pfizer says trials show a lower dose of its COVID-19 vaccine is safe for 5- to 11-year-olds

Pfizer says trials have revealed that a lower dose of their COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective for 5- to 11-year-olds. The amount used in trials was about a third of the adult dose.

KMBC talked to Dr. Sarah Boyd, infectious disease physician at Saint Luke's Health System, about why vaccinating children is an important step to curbing the spread of the virus.
