Kansas City Star: Cafe reaches out to healthcare groups in pandemic to do what it does best: feed people

In the face of all the hardships and anxiety caused by the pandemic, the Neighborhood Cafe has been distributing sponsored meals of its food to health care workers around Lee's Summit and beyond.

Saint Luke's East Hospital was one of the lucky recipients to receive hundreds of donated meals.

The Kansas City Star talked to Susie Krug, Chief Nursing Officer at Saint Luke's East, about the impact of the generous act on employees working amid the pandemic.
