  • 1 bunch kale 
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil 
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder 
  • ¼ teaspoon salt 

Additional optional seasonings: 

Black pepper, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, chili powder, nutritional yeast


  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. Peel kale leaves away from thick stems and cut or tear leaves into equal “chip-size” pieces (approximately three by three by three-inch).
  3. Mix kale pieces, olive oil, garlic, salt, and any additional seasonings into a bowl and massage together with hands.
  4. Spread kale chips evenly in one layer on two baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes. Ovens may vary in their baking time. Bake until kale is slightly crisp around the edges.
