The newly developed Hedrick Medical Center Foundation recently announced the hiring of its first development officer. Lindy Chapman, who currently serves as the executive director of the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce, was selected from a group of highly qualified candidates and will begin her post on Monday, June 2, 2014.

“My time at the Chamber has been wonderful and I want to thank our board, members, and volunteers for their support over the years,” Chapman said. “I’m thrilled with the opportunity for a new challenge and to work for Hedrick Medical Center and Saint Luke’s Health System. Great things are happening at Hedrick and I’m looking forward to what we can do together.”

“We’re excited to bring Lindy on board,” Matt Wenzel, Hedrick Medical Center CEO, said. “The leadership skills and experience she brings to the table are outstanding. We know she’ll hit the ground running and will develop a great deal of positive momentum for the Foundation.”
 
Chapman, originally from Louisville, Ky., has lived in Chillicothe since 1993. Her husband, Tom, is a circuit court judge for the 43rd Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri, and they have three children: Claire, Wagner, and Callaway. She is involved with many community activities including the Livingston County Library & Charitable Trust Boards, the Chillicothe Education Foundation, and the Chillicothe Rotary Club. She and her family are members of the First Baptist Church of Chillicothe.

The Hedrick Medical Center Foundation was developed:

•    To increase community awareness and engagement toward Hedrick Medical Center
•    To increase employee engagement through employee involvement in the Hedrick Medical Center Foundation
