Some cancer treatments, like chemotherapy, can cause damage to the heart muscle. In fact, studies show this happens in up to a quarter of all cancer patients. Fortunately, there is a new specialty focused on this area--and Saint Luke’s offers one of only nine certified programs in the country.

As we kick off Heart Month, this week, we’re talking to Dr. Deepthi Vodnala, cardiologist and co-medical director of Saint Luke’s Cardio-Oncology Program, about Saint Luke’s new Cardio-Oncology Program.
