Andrea Hufford, D.O., joins Hedrick Surgical Associates

General surgeon Andrea Hufford, D.O., recently joined Hedrick Surgical Associates and is currently scheduling procedures.

Dr. Hufford recently finished a fellowship at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. Her research has focused on such areas as core needle biopsies, carotid body tumors, diaphragmatic hernias, and benign pneumatosis intestinalis, and pneumoperitoneum.

“Having Dr. Hufford will really allow us to expand our surgical program to reach more people,” Matt Wenzel, Hedrick Medical Center CEO, said. “We’re already partnering with area hospitals to offer services throughout the region. Dr. Hufford is an excellent addition to our team and we’re extremely pleased to have her come aboard.”

A native of Mulvane, Kansas, Dr. Hufford completed her undergraduate degree at Kansas State University, and earned a doctorate degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She and her husband Rob moved to Chillicothe from Brooklyn, New York, where she completed her surgical training.
