Saint Luke's Hospital Koontz Center for Advanced Breast Cancer
The Koontz Center for Advanced Breast Cancer is changing the way women live with metastatic breast cancer. We use a three-pronged approach to improve the outcomes and quality of life for women with advanced (metastatic) breast cancer.
Treatment Part 1: The Most Stage 4 Clinical Trials and Leading-edge Medical Treatment
Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute has the widest portfolio of clinical trials available for Stage 4 breast cancer in the area. All Koontz Center patients are screened to find a clinical trial that might work for them. We utilize the latest genomic and immunotherapy treatments.
Treatment Part 2: Genomic Sequencing
All patients of the Koontz Center have their tumor sequenced to find the exact mutation causing the spread of the disease. While most other centers only test 600 cancer genes, Saint Luke’s is the only center in a 450-mile radius to test all 20,000 cancer genes. This gives you a much higher likelihood of finding the best treatment possible.
Treatment Part 3: Integrative Therapies
By combining advanced medicine with integrative therapies, our doctors can ease many of the symptoms associated with treatment and enhance your quality of life. Our practitioners have expertise in working specifically with patients diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, and their work can play a role in slowing the growth of Stage 4 breast cancer.
See why so many women diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer choose to receive treatment at the Koontz Center for Advanced Breast Cancer.
