The intent of these exchanges is to provide caregivers with secure access to patient health information so they can render the most effective care regardless of where the patient seeks that care. This access is automatic per regulatory guidelines. However, patients may choose to opt-out of providing this access by sending a request to medicalrecords@saintlukeskc.org using the subject line “HIE Opt-Out.” Please include Patient Full Name, Date of Birth, and Phone Number so we can verify the request. To revoke this opt-out request, send a request to medicalrecords@saintlukeskc.org using the subject line “Revoke HIE Opt-Out”.  Please include Patient Full Name, Date of Birth, and Phone Number so we can verify the request.
