Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton delivers high-quality health care to Grundy County, Missouri, and the surrounding communities. Founded in 1903, Wright Memorial Hospital opened a new, state-of-the-art facility in 2011.

The 25-bed acute care hospital offers comprehensive care, including 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic testing, 3-D mammography, inpatient and outpatient surgery, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, a specialty clinic, and primary care offices adjoining the facility.

Visitors to Wright Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department benefit from lifesaving heart and stroke protocols developed by the world-renowned Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute and Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute.

Visiting guidelines
In general, our units welcome visitors at all hours. Some units may have more specific visiting hours or visitor restrictions.

Tobacco
Saint Luke’s is a tobacco-free environment, and tobacco use, as well as e-cigarettes, is prohibited in all buildings, parking garages, and all surrounding grounds of our hospitals and facilities.

Dining options
The cafeteria is located near the main lobby. Fresh food prepared daily, including cold and hot meals, salad bar, soups, snacks, and pre-made sandwiches. Vending machines offering beverages and snacks are located in the cafeteria and Emergency Department waiting area.

Sending mail/flowers
To ensure prompt delivery, mail and flowers should be addressed using the patient’s full name and room number.

Gift shop
Located off the main lobby, it provides greeting cards, gift items, and personal items. Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Spiritual Wellness
If you’d like to see a chaplain, please ask a nurse or the hospital operator. Located near the main lobby, the hospital chapel is open to all for prayer, meditation, and solitude.
