Alternate Specimens:
May collect in EDTA tubes, must spin tubes within 6 hours of collection and aliquot plasma, freeze.
Collection Procedure:
Trofile/Phenosense/Phenosense GT/Phenosense Integrase
For each test being ordered, the following must be collected:
1. 3 mL frozen plasma for each test being ordered
2. Blood should be collected in TWO PPT tubes, spun within 6 hours of collection. Do not aliquot. Freeze, but must spin within 6 hours of collection OR blood may be collected in THREE EDTA tubes but must spin within 6 hours of collection and aliquot. Freeze.
**SLIM will probably always draw one 9 mL lavender top tube for this test.**
Trofile DNA
Collect blood in a 4 mL lavender top (EDTA) tube. Do NOT centrifuge. Freeze.
