processing.

Collection Procedure:
1. Separate the serum or plasma from the cells within 2 hours of collection.
2. If testing is delayed more than 2 hours from the time of specimen collection, then the serum or plasma needs to be frozen until tested.
3. Indicate serum or plasma on the request form.
4. Label the specimen appropriately (serum or plasma).
