1. The serum must be separated from the cells and transferred to a plastic transport tube within 1 hour of collection.
2. The specimen should be frozen immediately and maintained frozen until tested.
3. To avoid delays in turn around time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.
