Separate the serum from the cells within 45 minutes of collection.

Specimen Processing:

The serum must be maintained at room temperature.  Do NOT freeze. Do NOT refrigerate for more than 3 days.

Room temperature - 7 days

Unacceptable Condition:

Causes for rejection are hemolysis, prolonged contact of the serum with red cells, frozen specimens or specimens refrigerated more than 3 days after collection at the time of testing.
