Frozen - unacceptable
Refrigerated - unacceptable
Room temperature - 72 hours
Unacceptable Condition:
1. Frozen, refrigerated or formalinized specimens will be rejected.
2. Dry material (corneal scrapings or tissue that has not been placed in sterile saline or specimens that have become dry in transit) will be rejected.
3. Specimens in non-sterile or leaking containers will be rejected.
