Saint Luke’s Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute was the first hospital in the Kansas City area to perform a tumor removal procedure using Gleolan™. This newly-FDA approved, optical imaging agent turns glioma brain tumors bright pink to increase their visibility under a special blue light. Gleolan helps the surgeon more easily identify the full tumor helping ensure more complete tumor removal and a better result for the patient.
