Specimen Type:
1. Affirm VPIII Ambient Temperature Transport System.
2. Separate swabs should be used for other tests, such as culture, microscopic evaluation or PCR.
Store and Transport:
The specimen must be processing within 72 hours of collection; may be held refrigerated or room temperature no longer than 72 hours.
Unacceptable Condition:
Other swabs or transport collection materials are unacceptable for testing and will be rejected.
