Collection Procedure:
The patient's gender is required on the request form.
Specimen Processing:
Submit two separate serum aliquots. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.
Store and Transport:
Frozen - submit two aliquots
Stability:
Frozen - 2 weeks
Refrigerated - 48 hours
Unacceptable Condition:
Moderately or grossly hemolyzed specimens will be rejected.
