Biography

Meggan R. Newland, M.D. grew up in Altus, Okla. and attended the University of Notre Dame, where she graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in English. She received her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami. Dr. Newland began dermatology training as a wound healing fellow at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, where she stayed to complete her dermatology residency, which included serving a year as Chief Resident.

Dr. Newland is board certified in Dermatology and joined Saint Luke’s Dermatology Specialists in 2007. She enjoys all areas of dermatology, including general medical dermatology, skin cancer screening, and cutaneous surgery. She sees patients of all ages.

Dr. Newland is involved with the Kansas City CARE clinic, initially as a volunteer dermatologist and currently as a member of the board of directors. She spends her time away from work with her husband and two daughters.
