Why choose us for heart care?
Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute offers the most comprehensive heart and vascular care in Kansas City. We provide the full range of cardiovascular services, from disease prevention to heart transplantation. At Saint Luke’s we use the latest technology to provide a full range of services and treatments. Our team has participated in countless clinical trials that in many cases led to FDA-approved devices, treatment options, and procedures.
We provide:
- More specialized physicians
- More experience
- More innovative treatment options for patients
Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is proud to be the third hospital in the U.S to achieve Comprehensive Cardiac Center certification from The Joint Commission. In 2023, we completed our 1,000th heart transplant, making us one of only 23 programs in the country to achieve this milestone. Also, our valve disease program was one of the first in the nation to offer transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and performed our 1000th procedure in late 2023. We’ve saved thousands of lives and helped many more people achieve better heart health.
With six locations in the Kansas City metro area and seven outreach locations, Saint Luke’s Cardiovascular Consultants extends our expertise in cardiac care to patients throughout the region.
Our medical team consists of board-certified clinical cardiologists and physicians who are certified in specialty areas of cardiology, including interventional cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, preventive cardiology, electrophysiology, vascular cardiology, adult congenital heart disease, and advanced heart failure and transplant. We also work closely with Saint Luke’s cardiovascular surgeons to provide cardiothoracic surgical services.
What makes us unique and allows us to provide unmatched care is our team approach to comprehensive patient care. We are committed to furthering the field of cardiology—training more fellows than any other program in the region and publishing more research studies than most cardiology departments in the country.
