Dr. Austin, cardiologist and medical director of the heart failure program at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute says her trained therapy dog, Buddy, is making a positive impact on heart failure patients at the hospital.
Dr. Austin talked with KMBC about how the 3-year-old American Shepherd brings a sense of normalcy and comfort to the heart floor at Saint Luke's.
