Pelvic congestion syndrome is a condition that causes chronic pelvic pain. It's thought to be caused by problems with the veins in the pelvic area. This is the lower part of your belly (abdomen).

Pericarditis is a condition where the thin sac around the heart, the pericardium, becomes inflamed. The inflammation can cause fluid to build up around the heart keeping it from pumping blood effectively.

Narrowing in the arteries of the legs can cause peripheral artery disease, limiting the blood flow to legs and feet. This restriction in blood flow can cause non-healing sores, pain in the legs while walking, and, in some cases, amputation.

Peripheral neuropathy is a disease of the nerves. It most often starts in your feet. It may eventually affect the arms. It can affect sensory nerves, motor (movement) nerves, or both.

PET, or positron emission tomography, uses higher energy isotopes to achieve a better image of the heart than the standard nuclear camera. Although PET scanners have been used for brain studies and oncology, they’ve fairly new to cardiology.
