People younger than 45 to 50 are twice as likely to be diagnosed with colorectal cancer today compared to previous decades, says Dr. Marc Roth, an oncologist at Saint Luke's.
1 minuteJimmie Kinder was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at age 50.
Now, he is encouraging everyone to get screened as doctors see a rise in early onset colorectal cancer.
Jimmie's diagnosis led him to Dr. Marc Roth, medical director of gastrointestinal oncology at Saint Luke's Cancer Institute, who guided him through a treatment plan of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and more.
Jimmie and Dr. Roth sat down with KSHB to discuss the importance of colorectal cancer early detection, colonoscopies, and warning signs that you may need to seek care.
