Saint Luke’s Health System Metro Campuses Receive ‘Get With the Guidelines - Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award,’ Saint Luke’s Hospital Receives ‘Heart Failure Gold Plus Award’

Saint Luke’s Health System’s four metro hospitals have received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. This award recognizes the hospitals’ commitments and success in implementing excellent care for stroke patients, according to evidence-based guidelines, ultimately leading to more lives saved, shorter recovery times, and fewer readmissions to the hospital.

In addition, Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award, demonstrating the hospital’s commitment to ensuring heart failure patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines founded in the latest scientific evidence.

To receive the Gold Plus awards, Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City, Saint Luke’s East Hospital, Saint Luke’s South Hospital, and Saint Luke’s North Hospital achieved 85% or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke or Heart Failure Quality Achievement indicators for two or more consecutive calendar years and achieved 75% or higher compliance with additional select quality measures in stroke or heart failure.

Get With the Guidelines and Mission: Lifeline put the expertise of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to work for hospitals nationwide, helping ensure patient care is aligned with the latest evidence- and research-based guidelines.
