KMBC 9 Reporter Matt Flener interviewed a stroke patient recovering at Saint Luke's Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute who, thanks to her quick response and call to 9-1-1, saved her life and drastically improved her outcome and recovery.

- Sudden weakness on one side of the body
- Sudden numbness on one side of the body
- Sudden loss of vision - especially in one eye
- Sudden difficulty speaking or understanding
- Sudden severe headache
