KMBC: Hand Surgeon Offers Fireworks Safety Tips Ahead of July 4th

Saint Luke's Health System wants to remind everyone to set off fireworks safely this holiday weekend. 

Sparklers, firecrackers, and motor tubes can cause permanent damage to the face and hands if not used properly.

KMBC talked to Dr. Dana Rioux-Forker, a hand surgeon at Saint Luke's Health System, about things to keep in mind if you or your family plan to handle fireworks.
