The Kansas City Business Journal: Saint Luke's CEO will bring Kansas City strategy to a national scale

Saint Luke's Health System CEO Melinda Estes will serve as the chair of the American Hospital Association in 2020. Her new role will give her leadership of one of the largest health care advocacy organizations, with ties to nearly 5,000 hospitals across the U.S.

AHA announced Estes' appointment Thursday during its annual leadership summit. Estes currently serves on the executive committee of AHA's board of trustees.

"I'm looking forward to it," she told the Kansas City Business Journal during a Monday interview. "It's been a great privilege and honor to have been selected. There's a long line of stellar people who have been in that job."
