Each year, nearly 18,000 people in the U.S. suffer a spinal cord injury, which can be debilitating or even paralyzing. But there is hope for those who do.

As we kick off National Rehabilitation Awareness Month, we’re talking to Dr. Venessa Lee, a fellowship-trained spinal cord injury physical medicine & rehabilitation specialist at Saint Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, about how rehab can restore function and improve independence after a spinal cord injury and some of the unique robotics equipment Saint Luke’s uses to help these patients.
