Melody Unger loves to fill the world with sound. If the spirited 8-year-old isn’t singing, she’s humming, playing the drums, asking questions, or playing make-believe. But for the first two years of her life, Melody lived in silence.

Saint Luke’s Hospital is a 400+ bed not-for-profit tertiary teaching hospital located in the historic Country Club Plaza. The overnight rotation is a seven-on, seven-off four-week rotation that provides students with the opportunity to explore the roles of pharmacists in an overnight hospital setting.

The Community Service Award is given to an individual and/or team who has been involved in the development of innovative approaches to injury/illness prevention or EMS awareness within the community.
