About Barbara Bohon, MD
Dr. Bohon is a native of Kansas City and attended Shawnee Mission East High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. She graduated from University of Kansas Medical Center, then completed her residency program in OB/GYN at Truman Medical Center. Dr. Bohon has a special interest in normal and high-risk obstetrics, and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Bohon was selected as one of Kansas City's "Super Docs" in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 an honor voted by her peers. She also was recipient of the "Patients Choice Award" in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and the "Compassionate MD " recognition award in 2010.
Family is very important to Dr. Bohon, and she tries to attend as many Fun Family Friday activities or family get-togethers as she can. She also loves to ride her horses (Cowboy, Chip and Jazz) and spending time with her cat, Mango and her rescue dogs, Bentley, Red, Izzie, Joey, Kasey and Annie.

The BJC Medical Group (BJCMG) partners with an independent survey company, Professional Research Consultants (PRC), to gather feedback directly from patients about their experiences. PRC sends electronic surveys to BJCMG patients following a medical visit, asking them to evaluate different aspects of their care.
