As the former chief executive officer of the United States Soccer Federation, Dan Flynn was an instrumental figure in securing the jointly-hosted bid for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to host the World Cup. He was also a major advocate for Kansas City to serve as a host city.

Dan is grateful to celebrate this summer of soccer, ten years after he received a heart transplant at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute. He recently reflected on his Saint Luke’s journey with his cardiologists – Andrew Kao, MD and J. Russell Davis, MD.
