One local woman is living pain-free this holiday season after finding treatment for a rare diagnosis at Saint Luke's.
In 2019, Amy Minich was diagnosed with Nutcracker Syndrome, a condition where the vein carrying blood from the left kidney is compressed, restricting proper blood flow. Amy dealt with painful symptoms for years, until she came to Saint Luke's.
KSHB talked to Dr. Matthew Wilkinson, transplant surgeon at Saint Luke's, about the fascinating surgery performed to treat it.
