KMBC: Meet Saint Luke's Mini Team USA
Saint Luke's has been delivering the gold standard of care for 135 years. We always enjoy celebrating holidays and special milestones during the births of our babies, and the 2024 Olympics will be no different.
Since Friday is the eagerly anticipated opening ceremony for the 2024 Olympics, Saint Luke’s NICU decided to celebrate in our own special way with Mini Team USA and recognize our newest gold-medal babies.
A Saint Luke’s nurse crocheted the gold medals for our newest “athletes,” who participated in a variety of games, including:
- Gymnastics
- Powerlifting
- Karate
- Surfing
- Skateboarding
- Track & Field
- Equestrian
- Soccer
- Tennis
- Golf
- Basketball
The crowds (the families) were excited to be a part of the special day and will get to take the handmade outfits home with them to keep.
