Growing research shows why popular GLP-1 weight loss medications might be beneficial for people with multiple sclerosis, but the jury’s still out.
Since obesity is also a risk factor for developing multiple sclerosis, and carrying extra weight can worsen MS symptoms, it makes sense that people with MS might benefit from taking a drug like Ozempic. But there are also other considerations worth looking at before making a decision.
