Updated boosters that protect against COVID-19 are on their way to Kansas City. This comes after the CDC approved the new shots specifically tailored to protect against the two most prevalent omicron subvariants, BA.4 and BA.5.

KMBC talked to Dr. Sarah Boyd, infectious disease physician on Saint Luke's COVID-19 Response Team, about when the updated booster shots are expected to be available in the metro.
