KMBC: Kansas City Air Quality Alerts Not Related to Smoke From Canadian Wildfires

For three days in a row, Kansas City was under air quality alerts as ozone levels rose around the metro. But Kansas City’s air quality is not related to the Canadian smoke.

Locally, the ozone from cars, lawnmowers, chemicals, and the like is hanging in the air with the heat and lack of a breeze.
