According to the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network, there are more than 100,000 people in the United States awaiting a life-saving transplant. 

This week, we talked with Matthew Wilkinson, MD, a surgeon with Saint Luke’s kidney and liver transplant program, and Erica Sparks, a transplant coordinator with Saint Luke's, about the organ transplant process for recipients and donors.
