Bone Density Scan
When adults lose bone density, a condition commonly referred to as osteopenia, it can be contributed to aging or complications from other medical conditions. In either case, it may be indicative of an increased risk of other associated low-bone density conditions, or even an increased vulnerability to fractures. Saint Luke's uses bone density scans to help monitor overall bone density and manage potential breaks and other conditions associated with lower bone density.

Fast Breast MRI
A Fast Breast MRI (also referred to as Abbreviated Breast MRI) is a screening exam used to supplement annual mammography. The exam is recommended for women with dense breast tissue because it finds more cancers than mammography finds alone. The Fast Breast MRI should not replace annual mammograms.
