About Julie Merchant, RN, APRN, FNP-BC
Julie Merchant, APRN, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with Saint Luke's Hospital Medical Education OBGYN clinic. She has been in practice since 2000. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washburn University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas.
Julie provides routine obstetric care, contraceptive counseling including intrauterine device placement and removal as well as Nexplanon insertion and removal, STD screening, well woman exams, and evaluates other gynecologic concerns. She has special interests in social support during pregnancy and the impact on newborn outcomes. Julie facilitates group prenatal care classes that combine prenatal care with pregnancy and childbirth education.
She has a passion for empowering women to make informed choices about their health.
