Saint Luke's offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities, from greeting visitors at the front door to helping patients and families during their visit. As a volunteer at Saint Luke’s, you’ll have the opportunity to make a true difference in the lives of our patients, families, and staff. Volunteer Requirements

Age requirements:

  • Must be 15 or older to volunteer at:
    • Saint Luke's Hospital
    • Saint Luke's East Hospital
    • Saint Luke's Home Care & Hospice
  • Must be 16 or older to volunteer at:
    • Saint Luke's South Hospital
    • Saint Luke's North Hospital   
  • Must be 21 or older to volunteer at:
    • Saint Luke's Hospital Crittenton Children's Center

Additional notes:

  • Proof of measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and influenza (current flu season) vaccinations are required.
  • A tuberculosis (QFT-TB) blood test and a health assessment are required to be completed through our Saint Luke’s Employee Health (free of charge).
  • General volunteer orientation and assignment-specific training is required; annual training is required to remain active.

Can I complete court-ordered community service at Saint Luke's Health System?

Court-ordered community service is not accepted.

How much time do I have to commit to Saint Luke's Health System to volunteer?

Time commitment varies by location. Please contact your chosen location for specific requirements.

Can I use family members for my references?

No. Saint Luke's Health System requires two non-relative references to be considered for a volunteer position.

Do I have to get any vaccinations or medical tests to volunteer?

Proof of measles, mumps, rubella, varicella and influenza (current flu season) vaccines are required. Please submit proof of vaccination to the location where you have applied. Titer testing for immunity is required if childhood vaccine records cannot be provided. SLHS also requires a tuberculosis (QFT-TB) blood test and a heath assessment to be completed through our Employee Health Department (free of charge). Details will be provided after initial volunteer application is completed.

What should I wear to volunteer?
