Your health care provider will evaluate your shoulder. This will likely include imaging tests, such as X-rays and often an MRI. You’ll then discuss treatment choices. These can include physical therapy, surgery, or both. After the shoulder is stabilized, proper exercise can help keep it that way.

Electromyography (EMG) measures muscle response or electrical activity in response to a nerve’s stimulation of your muscle. The test is used to help find nerve and muscle problems.

Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) is used for patients with life-threatening heart or lung disease or damage. It provides short-term support of the cardiac or pulmonary system when conventional management fails. ECMO can fully support the heart and lungs until the underlying problem is resolved or organ transplantation occurs.
