The Hedrick Medical Center Auxiliary has awarded ten $500 scholarships to the following students pursuing degrees in the health care.

Ten scholarships have been awarded to the following students pursuing degrees in the health care field.

Students already enrolled in or admitted to a degree program in a health care field are eligible for the scholarship.

Hedrick Medical Center has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check Mark for Acute Heart Attack Ready Certification.

This award recognizes hospitals for their efforts toward care excellence for suspected non ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome care excellence.

The scholarship will is named the Harkness Scholarship, after Dr. James A. Harkness, a former Chillicothe physician and Chief of Staff at Hedrick Medical Center.

Hedrick Medical Center provides an Oncology Nurse Navigator Program dedicated to easing the physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial hardships of living with and beyond cancer.
