Our dedicated volunteers have a wide range of responsibilities throughout Hedrick that complement their interests and skills. Members represent many age groups and parts of the community—parents, grandparents, business people, long-time volunteers, and young adults.

The Hedrick Medical Center Auxiliary has awarded ten $500 scholarships to the following students pursuing degrees in the health care.

Students already enrolled in or admitted to a degree program in a health care field are eligible for the scholarship.

Hedrick Medical Center has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check Mark for Acute Heart Attack Ready Certification.

This award recognizes hospitals for their efforts toward care excellence for suspected non ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome care excellence.

Hedrick Medical Center relies on fundraising efforts to provide services, acquire new technology, support the underserved in our community, and ensure excellent care for all.

The scholarship will is named the Harkness Scholarship, after Dr. James A. Harkness, a former Chillicothe physician and Chief of Staff at Hedrick Medical Center.
