Each location has different offerings, so be sure to click “View more” below your location to see the types of imaging services available.
What are the differences between imaging centers and hospitals?
Our outpatient diagnostic imaging centers offer many of the same testing services done at hospitals, but at a lower cost to you. Often if a patient has been discharged from the hospital and needs follow-up imaging, the physician may recommend that it be completed at the hospital where the care was received. Ask your physician if your imaging can be done at one of our five convenient outpatient diagnostic imaging centers.
Do I need a referral?
You will need a doctor’s order to schedule an appointment for imaging services. Once your exam is authorized (if required by insurance), we can typically schedule a same-day or next-day appointment. CardioScans can be completed in Missouri without a physician’s order.
How much do the imaging services cost?
If you have questions about the estimated cost of service, once your exam is scheduled, call 816-502-0600. Payment may be required at the time of service.
What insurances do you accept?
We accept a wide range of insurances. View a complete list. Please confirm coverage with your insurance provider.
How do I schedule my imaging?
Call 816-502-8500 to schedule an appointment or request an appointment here. In order to schedule your exam as soon as possible, please have available your doctor’s order, referring physician’s name, insurance card, and email address or phone number. We can schedule your appointment quickly, often with same-day or next-day availability.
Do I need to send the results to my doctor?
After your imaging is complete, your radiology specialist will send the results and all documentation to your physician. You can also access your results directly through the mySaintLuke’s patient portal, 48 hours after your imaging is complete.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my imaging exam?
Any preparation instructions will be provided to you by the scheduler. The instructions will also be sent to you as a message from your provider in your mySaintLuke’s patient portal.
Are the outpatient imaging centers credentialed?
Yes. We use highly trained radiologists to interpret the results from the industry’s most advanced imaging hardware. This results in more accurate diagnoses and better overall treatment. Our centers and their staff are all board-certified and credentialed by one or more of the following organizations:
- American Board of Radiology
- American College of Radiology
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
